  • Option 1: Tape & Paper Method

    What you need: Clear tape, a pen, and a ruler with millimeter measurements

    How to measure:

    • Place a piece of clear tape over the nail you want to measure.
    • Use a pen to mark the edges of your nail on the tape.
    • Stick the tape onto a piece of paper, then use a ruler to measure the distance between the marks (in millimeters).
    • Repeat for each nail and compare the results with our size chart. If they don’t match a standard size, choose Custom Size at checkout.

    Pro Tip: Make sure the tape lies flat and tight on your nail to get the most accurate measurement.

  • Option 2: Tailor’s Tape Method

    What you need: A soft tailor’s measuring tape

    How to measure:

    • Wrap the tape around the widest part of your nail (usually the center), making sure it lays flat across the nail.
    • Record the width of each nail in millimeters (mm) — do this for all 10 nails.
    • Compare your measurements with our size chart. If they match one of our standard sets, you can select a standard size. Otherwise, choose the Custom Size option.

    Pro Tip: Always measure both hands — your nail sizes may vary between them.

STEP 2: COMPARE YOUR SIZES & SHAPES

  • Check your measurements against our size chart.

    • If your measurements match one of the standard sets (XS, S, M, L), you can select it directly.
    • If your measurements vary, select Custom Size and leave your nail measurements in the order notes or send them to us via message.

  • All measurements are based on the THUMB, and the rest of the fingers are adjusted to fit accordingly.

Are the nails reusable ?

Yes, you absolutely can reuse your nails — especially if you’re using adhesive tabs! They’re perfect for quick swaps and easy reapplication.
If you’ve used nail glue and want to wear your press-ons again, no worries! Just grab the pink sanding band from your prep kit and gently buff away any dried glue underneath the press-on. A little tip: slip the sanding band over a pen or pencil for a better grip while you work.

☕ Note from CapheNails: Please don’t use the sanding band on your natural nails — that’s what the soft buffing block is for!
